Property owners may apply to change the zoning designation of their property.
Rezoning applications (official zoning map amendments) require certain submissions, including a fee, and the process
takes approximately 90 days. An application package is available for download from this web site (see rezoning
memo and rezoning application form). Contact the Department for filing deadlines and for additional information.
Public hearings are scheduled before the planning commission and the city council with jurisdiction. The
full procedures are set forth in Chapters 21.2 and 21.3 (Article 21) of the Land Use Management Code. For
