Any division of land into two or more lots requires approval by the department.
This includes boundary line adjustments and the combination of lots. The subdivision regulations for the
Cities of Jefferson and Talmo are contained within the Land Use Management Code. Preliminary plats of subdivisions
(residential or commercial involving new roads or five or more lots) require approval by the Planning Commission.
The final platting process is administrative and is handled entirely by the Department of Planning and Development.
