Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control

Jefferson and Talmo’s soil erosion ordinance is contained within the Land Use Management Code (see Article 13).  The Department of Planning and Development is a local issuing authority.  Review of soil erosion and sedimentation control plans is undertaken by the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Oconee River Soil and Water Conservation District, in Winder, but plans are submitted to the Department of Planning and Development and then routed to the district.
