To inquire about business license requirements or to obtain a business
license, please contact the City Clerk. In Jefferson, go to “administration” on the city’s web page under “departments.”
If operated in a home (i.e., a “home occupation”), approval by the Department of Planning and Development
is required – a separate application must be made (fee required) – before the city clerk can issue a business
license.
