Rezoning Process
Property owners may apply to change the zoning designation of their property. Rezoning applications (official zoning map amendments) require certain submissions, including a fee, and the process takes approximately 90 days. An application package is available for download from this web site (zoning application and zoning application memo under "Forms and permits" under the Business Tab). Contact the Department for filing deadlines and for additional information. Public hearings are scheduled before the planning commission and the city council with jurisdiction.
