About Our Council
The City of Jefferson operates under a council-manager form of government. This system of local government utilizes the strong political leadership of elected officials in the form of the City Council. The City Manager is hired to serve the council and the community and to bring the local government the benefits of training and experience in administering local projects and programs on behalf of the governing body.
The public may address the Jefferson City Council on planning and zoning, and other matters, during the public hearing portion of City Council work session meetings. These meetings are held at 6:00pm on the second Monday of each month, at the Jefferson Station Community Room.
Any other special presentations or concerns that you would like addressed at a City Council meeting should first be presented to the City Manager’s office.
City Council voting sessions are held at 6:00pm on the fourth Monday of each month in the Jefferson Station Community Room. Both the work session and voting session meetings are open to the public attendance. We encourage you to attend these meetings to stay abreast of what is happening in your community.
The City of Jefferson is divided into five voting districts. Each district has a City Council Member representative. The following information has been provided to help you learn more about the district areas and their representatives.
