Impact Fee for Dwellings

The City of Jefferson has adopted an impact fee ordinance (see Article 2 of Chapter 38 of the City Code, accessible via the MuniCode web link) and requires an impact fee for parks and recreation.  Payment of the impact fee is required for new residential dwelling units only and is due at the time of building permit or certificate of occupancy. The residential impact fee is $1,293.75 per unit. The city requires that this fee be paid by check separately from other applicable fees for accounting purposes. The Department of Planning and Development collects impact fees on behalf of the City of Jefferson.
