Please take notice that the Jefferson-Talmo Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on May 6, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Station Complex, 1000 Washington Street, Jefferson, GA 30549, on the following matter:
- R-24-J03 Rezoning: Sardis Presbyterian Church, by Sandra Aker, applicant and property owner, seeks to rezone from R-2 (Medium Density Residential District) to C-1 (Neighborhood Commercial District) 7.37 acres (three parcels) fronting approximately 585 feet on the north side of Gordon Street (Map/Parcels J09/014, J08/054 and J09/012) approximately 160 feet west of its intersection with Peachtree Road (includes 652 and 714 Gordon Street). Proposed use: expansion of existing church and accessory uses to church.
The Jefferson City Council will conduct a public hearing on the above-referenced matter on May 13, 2024, and consider action at a voting session on May 27, 2024. Both meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Station Complex, 1000 Washington Street, Jefferson, GA 30549.
